Which wall should be a feature wall?
Choosing which wall to select as a feature wall can be a difficult choice so we decided to create a post that will help with your choice.
Choosing the end wall of a room, hallway or corridor as your feature wall and applying a dark colour to it can act as an optional illusion and makes the space feel wider. Choosing the end wall in a narrow room can really open up the space and give the area a different dimension.
Whereas painting a light colour on the end wall of either a room or hallway makes the space feel longer and narrow.
The photo above is of a school office we painted. There is one feature wall only in the room and is the dark grey colour you can see in the image. The office was a small square shaped room. By painting the walls and units the same colour the room felt wider.
