How to Paint my uPVC Hall Door?

Painting your door or windows is a more environmentally friendly and cost effective way to transform the look of your home or workplace

To paint your uPVC hall door you will need
Methylated Spirits
Three sheets of “wet and dry” sandpaper
1L of Crown Trade PX4 Primer
1L of Crown Trade Undercoat in the colour of your choice. We used products from the Crown Fast Flow range when transforming this hall door
1L of Crown Trade Gloss in the colour of your choice We used products from the Crown Fast Flow range when transforming this hall door
A 2inch Paint Brush
Some wet and dry sandpaper
A dust/ drop sheet
Follow these steps to paint your door
Step 1 clean the door down fully and thoroughly with methylated spirits
Step 2 rub the door down thoroughly using wet and dry sandpaper, dust the door down and repeat step 1
Step 3 apply 1 coat of Crown Trade PX4 - this is an ultra grip primer and will prevent the paint from coming off the uPVC surface
Step 4 when the PX4 primer is dry rub the door down lightly using wet and dry sandpaper
Step 5 apply 1 coat of undercoat
Once the undercoat is dry repeat step 4
Step 6 apply 1 coat of Gloss
After all of that hardworking you can enjoy your rejuvenated hall door
