What is colour drenching?
Colour drenching is a interior design trend that has become really popular in recent years
Traditionally the walls in a room or area would be one colour with the woodwork being a different colour
Colour drenching on the other hand involves painting the walls and skirtings or the walls, skirtings, doors, frames and architraves the same colour. In the photo above you’ll see that the ceiling, walls and skirtings have all been painted the same colour. In this case they were painted in Amonite by Farrow & Ball
How to incorporate colour drenching into your workplace?
Colour drenching can be incorporated into your workplace by painting walls and skirtings in one of your company colours
Another option is to choose a colour for the walls in a meeting room and painting the skirtings the same colour as the walls
How to incorporate colour drenching into our school?
Primary colours in a primary school setting evoke the sense and make children pay attention. As a result we also suggest painting the wall with the interactive whiteboard a primary colour. Painting the skirting boards the same colour as the walls is one way to incorporate colour drenching into a classroom
How to choose a colour?
Choosing the correct paint colour is an art and talent in its own right. On many of our projects we use a colour consultant to ensure the colours chosen are best suited to the area they are being applied. In doing so we transform workplaces, schools, civic buildings and places of workship for end users to enjoy
