What colour should I Paint my hall stairs and landing?
Choosing the correct colour scheme for a hall, stairs and landing is quite a challenge as some hall stairs and landing can be difficult to reach and get so once it’s painted there’s a good chance you won’t want to repaint it for a while!
Here are three of our favourite colour schemes
1 - Paint the walls in your hall stairs and landing with a natural such as “Light French Grey” by Little Green or “School House White” by Farrow and Ball. Colours like these are timeless, warm and inviting.
We suggest offsetting these colours against white on the ceiling and white satin wood on the woodwork throughout.
2 - We suggest going with a neutral scheme such as the one above but bring in a splash of colour by creating a feature wall with a bold colour.
To create an optical illusion and give your hallway added width we suggest painting the wall at opposite end to your hall door in a dark colour.
3 - To create an elegant feel we suggest putting panelling on the bottom half of your wall and painting it along with all of the other woodwork white satin wood and painting the tops of the walls in complimentary neutral colour such as “French Grey” by Little Greene.
One last tip… it’s worth buying a good emulsion to apply on the walls in your hall, stairs and landing. One product we always recommend is Dulux Easy Care Vinyl Matt. This product is hard wearing, can be wiped down by a cloth, has great coverage so you won’t need as much as other paint brands and can be touched up easily.
We hope these colour tips have helped you as you pick and choose the best colour scheme for your house
