Our History

Our origins stem back to 1957 when, Jimmy Lally, began to serve his time as a painter decorator with Tracey’s of Stoneybatter in Dublin.

Upon completion of his apprenticeship and working as a chargehand with Tracey’s, in 1971 Jimmy went on to form what is now Lally Decorators

Much of our initial work was site based work painting many of the new housing schemes that were being developed in the Dublin during the 1970s

From 1975 onwards we began to focus on securing work with local authorities, state departments, semi state bodies, commercial clients and homeowners

Over the years we’ve developed a reputation as a leading painting contractor in Dublin that specialises in repainting existing commercial, industrial and institutional buildings

In more recent times we added a facilities division that executes pre paint repairs and small works projects

We have worked on some of the most presitogius buildings in Dublin and beyond

Some of our clients include the Defence Forces, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, an Garda Síochána, the City of Dublin Training and Education Board, Fingal County Council, Marlet Property Group, SMEs, schools and religious orders
