Store Street Garda Station | Commercial Painting Contractors Dublin

As part of the Government stimulus package in November 2020 we tendered for and were the awarded the contract to repaint the offices and locker room in Store Street Garda.

What Challenge did this Project Present?

The challenges this project presented included:

• working in a live and fully operational Garda Station that is in use 24 hours a day 7 days a week

• working in a security environment

• a tight timeline of 3 working weeks to the get the internal decorations complete

What Solutions did we Implement to Overcome the Challenges?

To over come the challenges we did the following

• developed a detailed project plan by liaising with senior management in the Garda Station and our own project team

• implemented and delivered excellent an excellent communications process throughout the project from tender stage through to completion

• got our on site team garda vetted

What Colours did You Use?

The project involved repainting bulkheads, walls, radiators and hard wood. We painted these surfaces with the following colours

• The bulkheads were painted white and were finished in matt emulsion

• The walls were painted in “Lunar Grey” from the Fleetwood collection. We used the Dulux Diamond Range throughout on the walls

• The radiators were painted white

• The hardwood was varnished with a coat of clear oil based varnish on the doors, frames, architrave, cills and skirtings

Due to the sensitive nature of this project we were not is a position to take many photos but suffice to say we received great feedback from the stakeholders in the station.
