Painting churches is one of our favourite things to do because they’re not straightforward. Reality is when something isn’t straightforward those who are less experienced get found out.
Lally Decorators has over 50 years experience. Over these 50 years we have painted some of the most prestigious and some of the most challenging buildings.
As a result we thought we’d list out some of the logistical challenges we’ve encountered painting churches
A lot of elderly people attend mass during the week meaning it’s essential that there are no trip hazards during mass and prayer times
A funeral may crop up at the eleventh hour. It’s important to be sympathetic and understanding of this, amend your plan and tackle a different area of the church or take a scheduled break to ensure that the funeral can take place in peace
The carpark is always busy and traffic measures need to be put in place to ensure safety
Committee members who volunteer to look after the maintenance of the church may have little or no prior knowledge of paint or painting. As a result an honest and trustworthy team are required to advise on the best material to use and paint the church correctly
